Basic
Eligibility: All Marine officers and enlisted,
Regular, Reserve, active duty, retired, former,
male and female who served honorably in the
Marine Corps Recruiting Service, during his/her
tour of service in the Marine Corps, in either
"A" or "B" Billets are eligible to apply for
membership in the Marine Corps Recruiting
Association.
Charter Membership:
Those Marines who joined the Marine Corps
Recruiting Association prior to January 1,
2004.
General Membership:
All members accepted on or after 1 January
2004.
Associate
Membership: Widows or widowers of members in
good standing and those of qualified Members
shall be presented the opportunity to become
Associate members. Associate members shall have
all the privileges of members, except the right
to hold national or local office, or
directorship.
Honorary Membership:
Honorary membership may be conferred upon a
distinguished person. A member in good standing
may make nominations for honorary membership.
The officers may confer, reject, or revoke
honorary membership by a majority vote. Honorary
members shall have all the privileges of
members, except the right to vote or hold
office, and shall be exempt from payment of
dues.
Termination of
Membership: Members may terminated membership
voluntarily or have their membership terminated
involuntarily as follows:
- (1) Any member
may resign from the Marine Corps Recruiting
Association upon written notification to the
President. A member who has resigned may be
reinstated as long as he/she is a member in
good standing in the Marine Corps Recruiting
Association. A written request to the
President for reinstatement is
required.
- (2) Any
member(s) expelled by the Marine Corps
Recruiting Association Board of Directors
shall also be removed from the membership
roster.
- (3) Failure to
pay dues will be cause to lose membership.
Those who are delinquent in dues will be
required to pay the current year's dues
before membership is
reinstated.
